Stay in Touch
Over the 130 years since our Charter from Congress, TMH (formerly Young Women’s Christian Home) has been home to tens of thousands of women, most of whom describe their time with us as something very special. There’s a unique bond shared among TMH alums. Young women have experienced life-changing milestones under the TMH roof: many launched meaningful careers; made friendships that endured for decades after leaving TMH; and some even met future spouses (at the foot of our grand piano, to be exact!). Our residents share some of the most memorable, meaningful months and years of their lives with us. Maybe you can say the same.
We invite you remain an active part of the TMH community.
Maybe you would be willing to offer advice, mentorship or career guidance to our current residents who are finishing school and getting their start in their careers… Contact Katie Proch, Assistant Director at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how you can get involved in current resident activities, help create programs or just come join the ladies for a Monday Movie night.
Or, perhaps you would like to help us ensure TMH is here for future generations... The Annual Campaign, launching on February 23, 2017, the 130th anniversary of our Charter by Congress, provides a variety of ways for our alumnae to ensure TMH will be here as a “the Home on the Hill” for future generations of young women to come.
We have launched a quarterly newsletter and have freshened and expanded access the TMH Facebook page. Several events are planned to help bring you back to TMH to see old friends and meet our current residents. You can find out more about these events through our quarterly newsletter and on the TMH Facebook page.
This website affords us with the opportunity to share memories and the stories of generations of TMH women from across the years. Check out the testimonials that are already here. We are developing feature stories to include in this Alumnae Area of the website as well. Bookmark this area so you can come back from time to time to read the stories and enjoy the pictures of the women who were here years ago- maybe even reconnect with some who were here with you! Better yet, email us (email@example.com) so we can write and feature your TMH testimonial or story.
To keep the TMH memories and legacy alive for our Alumnae network and future TMH residents, we are developing a multi-media publication, TMH Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. It will be released in late 2017 and include the feature stories from the web, but it will be so much more! To make it really special, we need to hear from you! Please call Cathi (202-546-3255) or email her (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your favorite TMH stories, along with your pictures.
And, last but not least, there is a new and growing group of alumnae from across the years working on these and other ideas to build our TMH Alumnae Network. If you are interested in working with this special group, please email Cathi at email@example.com.
Most important is our need to connect with you. Please update your contact information below and encourage your friends to do the same.
Thank you for helping us to build our legacy. We look forward to hearing from you!
