Moving to Washington D.C. can be thrilling. And daunting. This has been true for decades. Especially if you are arriving to the city from a far-away country, or even a distant U.S. city or town. There are few places like TMH left, where residents — women only — can arrive and instantly become part of a community of like-spirited women. We’re something of a cocoon in a bustling city; if a very nicely-situated cocoon that inspires and nourishes the hearts and minds of today’s young women.
Nestled on Capitol Hill, the Hart Senate Office Building is steps away from our front door. Venture out in any direction and you will either run into Senate Park, or a charming neighborhood coffee shop, restaurant or pub, or a museum. For those lucky enough to call this village within a city home, it is a wonderful mix of history and future, energy and opportunity.
